We have a lot of coyotes in our area too. We have found out that coyotes will eat domestic dogs. One coyote will come and play with a domestic dog and lure it to the rest of the pack that is waiting for it. Many of our freinds will not take their dogs with them when they go horseback riding anymore because they have had their dogs lured away and killed before they could do anything.
